The Bridge End Hotel is a traditional local pub situated in the centre of the beautiful North Wales market town of Llangollen. This friendly pub overlooks the River Dee and is very close to The Llangollen Canal, opposite the famous Steam Train Railway Station and a short drive from the stunning Horseshoe Pass.

There is always a warm welcome at The Bridge End Hotel with a selection of cask beers, a hearty menu featuring local produce and quality en-suite rooms. It’s the perfect base for touring the beautiful North Wales countryside.

Hello to our new Head Chef, John!

“My first experience with cooking came at a young age helping my mother make Welsh Cakes. I knew from that young age I had already found my vocation in life.

Once I left College Howle Harris Brecon, I worked in a few local establishments before getting offered the exciting – but daunting position – working in Belgium at 21. From there I worked in both Chicago and San Francisco, before returning to my roots working in the Bryn Howel Hotel; a few miles out of Llangollen where we gained 3 Rosettes for the restaurant. From there I worked in the Cross Lanes, and then Brunning and Price in The Corn Mill, which I love to this day.”

“I look forward to a fresh start with the new challenges to enable me to fulfil my dream of running my own kitchen and build a new and spectacular team. I will be sorry to leave and have loved every second of my 13 years at The Corn Mill but I am very excited with the new possibilities to make the Bridge End restaurant an outstanding success.”
